This eBook tries to give you as complete an overview as possible of the world of process automation. On 200 pages, you will be guided from the beginnings of automation to the theory and practical implementation. You can see this eBook as a mixture of theory acquisition and manual.
The introduction starts with the definition of a process and Business Process Automation, but also deals with its history and the different manifestations, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Integration Platform as A Service (IPaaS), No Code / Low Code or even Hyperautomation. The reasons for the use of these technologies and the possible fear of the employees during the introduction and the required automation mindset are also already touched on, but are dealt with in greater depth in the following chapters.
The first chapter of the eBook "Managing Processes" deals, as the name suggests, with business process management, i.e. the effective management of business processes. Among other things, you will learn more about thedifferent types of business processes, their elements and how important it isto find out the stories behind the processes. Furthermore, there is a deep dive into the methodology of Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC Cycle and BPMN 2.0.
The second chapter is all about process analysis to identify the potential of a process. The fact is that not every process is worth automating or every bottleneck is recognized. It is therefore important that you are familiar with the techniques of task and process mining and do not simply automate blindly.
This section is about everything you need to know about process automation to get an overall view and effectively drive the topic. Many things that have already been touched upon in the introduction are taken up again in this chapter, described in more detail and put into context. After this section, you will be a theoretical mastermind when it comes to technologies and methodologies.
Knowing about the technologies in theory is all well and good, but the practical implementation is what matters. Chapter 4 therefore deals with managing automation projects and how to make sure you make the right decisions. You'll also learn more about building a functioning demand funnel, implementing process automation, governance and IT security, and the often neglected change management that has already brought one or two automation projects to an early end.
Here you'll get an overview of the trends and technologies of tomorrow that you should already be keeping an eye on now. Don't forget: The early bird catches the worm.
This eBook is suited for beginners as well as experts in the field as it guides you from a holisitc overview oft he different technologies and methods to the more detailed and practical implmentation of process automation in your company.
All technologies which fly around the process automation cosmos will be presented. Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Process Mining, No Code/Low Code, Optical Character Recognition, Natural Language Processing and Hyperautomation are just a few to mention.
The focus of this eBook is to give an almost complete overview of process automation and all of its different aspects and serve as a theoretical introduction as well as a manual for implementing process automation.
Besides the typical definition of technologies, tools and methods the Process Automation Unbuzzed eBook presents a range of detailed advice for project management as well as future developments.
